Pickling plants for profiles, rods and sheet metal

Steuler Anlagenbau supplies continuous roll pickling lines and discontinuous autoclave pickling lines for the treatment of rods, profiles and sheet metal depending on the required throughput and dimensions and materials being treated.
Descaling is executed in roll pickling using the spray method within a closed tunnel, whereby the rods, profiles and sheet metal are continuously transported in batches on rollers through the various treatment stages. The material is descaled beforehand in a blasting unit in line with the roll pickling plant. This not only noticeably improves the quality of the surface, but also substantially reduces the quantity of chemicals and fresh water needed and thus the operating costs and environmental impact too. The scale accumulated in the blasting unit is fed back into the manufacturing process as a raw material, which has the additional benefit of reducing operating costs and environmental impact still further.
Roll pickling lines can be quickly, simply and economically adapted to accommodate changed throughput and quality requirements by installing additional pickling chambers or exchanging the existing and/or additional treatment solution.
Discontinuous autoclave pickling plants are generally used where smaller throughput volumes are needed. In this case, the rods, profiles and sheets are placed into the empty autoclave pickling vessels, the lid is closed and the appropriate treatment solution is automatically added and removed according to the configured program. Pre-descaling in a blasting unit when using an autoclave pickling line for treating rods, profiles and sheet metal both reduces operating costs and environmental impact.
Autoclave pickling lines can be quickly, simply and economically adapted to accommodate changed throughput and quality requirements by installing an additional autoclave or exchanging the existing and/or additional treatment solution.
The use of a closed tunnel and/or cover prevents corrosive and harmful gases from escaping while reducing the quantity of exhaust air to be extracted.
Lower consumption of fresh water, optimized use of chemicals, minimal exhaust air emissions and low staffing requirement reduce both operating and capital investment costs.
