Pickling plants for wires
Steuler Anlagenbau supplies tunnel pickling lines for rolled and drawn wires in coils suitable for medium and high throughput capacities. The dipping process takes place discontinuously within a closed tunnel preventing the release of corrosive and harmful gases.
The largely automated plants are operated using treatment programs that can be flexibly configured to suit the most diverse of requirements. The concept allows for simple upgrading should an increase in throughput or the use of other materials be desired.
Steuler Anlagenbau has autoclave pickling lines in its program that are suitable for low throughput capacities. In contrast to tunnel pickling lines, in which the coils travel through the various treatment baths, the coils are loaded into an empty autoclave that remains completely closed during operation. Each of the required treating solutions is then automatically added and removed according to the preset program. Autoclave pickling lines can be quickly, simply and economically adapted to accommodate changed throughput and quality requirements by installing an additional autoclave or exchanging the existing and/or additional treatment solution.
Steuler Anlagenbau supplies roll and chamber pickling lines particularly for stainless steel, non-ferrous metal and titanium wire pickling plants, as they allow for mechanical descaling beforehand by blasting. In addition to lower consumption of chemicals during the subsequent descaling process, a large portion of the scale can be fed back into the manufacturing process as a raw material. This results in significant resource savings, which not only distinctly relieves the environment but also measurably reduces operating cost.
Roll and chamber pickling lines can also be quickly, simply and economically adapted to accommodate changed throughput and quality requirements by installing an additional roll or chamber pickling line or exchanging the existing and/or additional treatment solution.
